This is a blanket that I made for my second cousin as a gift for her baby shower. (hasn't happened yet, but I'll be sure to let ya'll know if she likes it!) I spent a lot of my free time for two weeks in order to crochet this beautiful one of a kind blanket. I used a mixture of Caron Simply Soft and Red Heart Soft and a size H hook. For the elephant, I tested an applique pattern for the wonderful :iconcrochetamommy: (pattern can be found on ravelry: [link] ) However, I did not use a pattern for the blanket, which did lead to some tension issues, which you can see there is still a bit of an issue, but the blanket does lay flat for the most part.

I used the chain st, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, AND treble crochet in the creation of the blanket. And it measures 27x27 inches
